PowerHour 4 - Emotional Literacy: Reading and Understanding Emotions REGISTER HERE

April 8, 9 - 10 a.m. (AST)

This PowerHour will examine how emotions connect to our thoughts and behaviours, and practice moving from vague or overwhelming feelings to clearly identifying core emotions. Together, we learn how emotions show up in the body and how slowing down helps us interpret them more accurately. This session reinforces that emotions are not problems to eliminate, but messages to understand—giving you greater awareness, choice, and resilience in how you respond.

The PowerHour Series offers faculty and staff a supportive space to explore resilience, exchange experiences, and practice simple, effective strategies that strengthen mental well-being. Each session stands alone, inviting reflection, conversation, and practical skill-building you can apply immediately.

The PowerHour series sessions are available exclusively to faculty and staff at Dalhousie and the other participating institutions. The series will include 4 sessions per semester during the Winter 2026 and Fall 2026 semesters.
