Are you noticing ergonomic challenges while working/studying remotely from home or while on campus? Does your workspace have room for improvement? Dalhousie Student Occupational Therapists are here to help. The student occupational therapists are thrilled to be offering many chances to participate in virtual interactive workshops about ergonomics.

This ergonomics workshop is brought to you by Environmental Health and Safety at Dalhousie in partnership with the School of Occupational Therapy through the @WORK Project.  The 45-minute workshop is timely and relevant for anyone working or studying from home or on campus. The interactive approach is designed to enable you to identify ergonomic pitfalls and to optimize your work or study from home environment.

Since 2013, the @WORK Project has enabled partnerships between student Occupational Therapists and various departments at Dalhousie, including, but not limited to: Custodial Services (both Halifax and Truro campuses), Dalhousie’s Groundskeeping personnel; Mail room employees; Trucking staff; the Offices of Advancement; Security personnel; Dental Hygiene students; and MedIT professionals.

The purpose of the @WORK project is to provide real-world fieldwork experiences to OT students by providing OT services to support members of our Dalhousie community to stay safe and succeed at work.

Faculty supervisor: Karen Joudrey is an Occupational Therapist.
