April 9, 2024
1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Register here to be sent an invitation to the online meeting closer to the event.

Influencing others, including colleagues, staff, supervisors, and/or students, in your workplace can help you:
  • achieve personal success;
  • become an admirable leader; and
  • achieve business and departmental goals.
Developing your influencing skills can help you encourage and persuade others to support your goals and ideas. Knowing the basics of influence and understanding how to improve these skills can help you perform your role more effectively at work.

In this session, we will explore these skills as a larger group, use breakout discussions to generate ideas and scenarios for large-group discussion, and will work on specific examples to help uncover your own strengths and develop a strategy to improve upon perceived weaknesses related to these skills.
