With prime rates at the highest in over 3 decades at 7.20%, inflation at 3.3% (end July 2023), gas prices up 40% since March of 2022, inflation still not down to the benchmark set by the Bank of Canada of 2.5%, what is really affecting inflation? We will discuss how to make a financial plan, create a budget that is sustainable and plan for another year of high prices in Atlantic Canada. We will examine the real implications for the average Atlantic Canadian and leverage some tools to unravel some of the pain points that everyone is experiencing due to the economy, in some way or another.
