People are tired of feeling fearful of what will happen next. The COVID-19 pandemic is taking a psychological toll on everyone. For months we have been experiencing an enormous amount of stress. There is a need to find more joy and lightness throughout our working day. This session will provide practical tips for building laughter, a positive outlook and moments of joy throughout your day.

Objectives:

  • Recognize psychological and physical benefits of humour
  • Review strategies for creating laughter and joy in your day
  • Create a plan to nourish your inner optimist

Our Presenter: Joanne Fraser has a keen interest in helping employees learn from and adapt to the changes taking place in today's workplaces. Her experience in training and facilitation work comes from being an  independent consultant for 15 years and then managing learning and development programs at Dalhousie for 4 years. Ms. Fraser has a Certificate in Adult Education from Saint Francis Xavier. She holds a BSc from the University of Saskatchewan and a MSc in Development and International Policy from the University of Bristol, England.
