About our Presenters:
Laurene Rehman, Ph.D., is the Director of Dal's School of Health and Human Performance and a Professor in the Recreation Division. Her research interests focus on understanding factors that support or constrain family leisure (especially physically activity). She is also a member of the Halifax Active Living Alliance which is working to make physical activity the easy choice for Haligonians. She is interested in ensuring people have an active lifestyle at home, work and play.
Kerry Copeland is the Executive Director of the Doctors Nova Scotia Healthy Tomorrow Foundation and has a background in public health. An avid champion of fitness and movement, for the last 20 years, Kerry has been inspiring and supporting Nova Scotians to move more. With support from Doctors Nova Scotia, Kerry created the award-winning Kids Run Club, a free, school-based recreational running program that has been helping thousands of kids get active annually since 2004.
