Pandemic restrictions have meant that many who have experienced a loss haven't been able to participate in a traditional family or community grieving process. Having to undertake this alone can hamper ones ability to work through the emotions, to have those feelings validated, and to get used to a life without those we've lost.
While the grieving process is not linear and each person's journey is unique, this session provides a safe space to mourn, to articulate the loss out loud and to create an opportunity to honour the memory of loved ones past.
Our Presenter: Dr. David Pilon is a registered psychologist and the Director of Counselling and Psychological Services at Dalhousie Student Health and Wellness.
